Look what is happening in Cavan…

Posted February 3, 2014 by markdowning in Uncategorized

We are a nation of concert goers, we buy festival tickets prior to the line-up being announced, we camp out overnight to make sure we secure tickets for our favourite artists and we have no problem travelling across the country (sometimes even to another country) for a good gig. Look back to a decade ago, and you can almost guarantee that you would have to travel to a city to see a popular band. However, music promoters have realised that the demand for live music in Ireland is so big that smaller town gigs would quickly sell out and give artists the opportunities to play more intimate venues and connect with their fans.

The “Shed Sessions” in Tullyvin, Cavan, is doing just that, bringing high calibre musicians to a smaller setting. An array of in demand Irish artists are set to play at the up and coming venue at various stages throughout the year. Participating artists include Pat Byrne and The Funky Buskers, one of Ireland’s most in demand wedding bands, Big September, Keywest, Bipolar Empire, Track Dogs, The Cujo Family, Crow Black Chicken, Sean Mullens with more to be announced.
