Walking on Cars Challenge One Direction for Itunes Chart

Walking On Cars Band have moved the masses as they soared to number five in the Irish iTunes Charts today!

Beating the likes of One Direction, this comes after the release of their first single ‘Catch Me If You Can‘ on March 14th

Twitter is in a frenzy today as followers and non-followers of the band battle in their stead to ensure an Irish number one single for St. Patricks weekend.

When we asked the guys how they felt about the news they had this to say;

“We are overwhelmed with surprise that a band like us, without any label, is competing with the top artists in the industry.”

Walking On Cars have skyrocketed to success since their formation, they won the Red Bull Bedroom Jam in 2012 which lead them to record their first EP with Tom McFall of Grouse Studios. ‘Catch Me If You Can‘ is their first single release.

With recognition on a national level, the band have set their sights on bigger and better, following their performance at Comic Relief Does Dublin in Vicar Street and the inclusion of their music on this years Voice of Ireland television show.
